From the points of the effective use of
frequency and prevention
of interference, MIC (Ministry of Internal
Affairs and Communications) establishes the technical requirement as
compulsory regulations.
In addition to the compulsory regulations, ARIB standards are specified as voluntary standards for telecommunications and broadcasting radio systems
in order to guarantee compatibility of radio facilities and
transmission quality as well as offering greater convenience to
radio equipment manufactures and users.
These ARIB STDs are established at the Standard Assembly.
