Guideline for the External Reference Signal of 1125 HDTV Studio Equipment Overview of Technical Report (ARIB TR-B20)

This technical report stipulates the definition of the in-phase relationship between ternary synchronization signal used for 1125 system HDTV studio apparatuses and SDTV black burst signal, the standard values of the phase relationship between an external reference signal and a video signal, the allowable value for the video phase difference in relation to the reference signal, and a measurement method therefor.

1. Scope

This technical report shall apply to HDTV studio apparatuses for the handling of 1125/60 system HDTV signal stipulated by ARIB standard BTA S-001B, or HDTV signals of 1125/50, 1125/24P, and 1125/30P systems and the like that are extended signal thereof.
