Information exchange and preliminary examination regarding a specific wireless access system before a working group is set up

2. About Technical Working Groups
(1) Mission
(a)MMAC802.11-WG
 i)Liaison with IEEE802.11 (a committee that promotes wireless LAN standardization)for updating ARIB STD-T71(TGn etc.)
 ii)Maintaining the standard of ARIB STD-T71 and drafting its revisions
 iii)iii) Study on the high throughput WLANs (over 1Gbps) that are under development in IEEE 802.11 TGac and TGad
(b)UWB-WG
 i)Investigation of the discussion of interference mitigation function for UWB (Ultra Wide Band) system in Europe and Japan
 ii)Experimental test of the propagation of UWB system considering real environments
 iii)Exchange of information regarding the interference mitigation function among Asian countries
 iv)Maintaining the standard of ARIB STD-T91 and drafting its revisions
 v)Administration of Residential Backbone Network Sub-Working Group for study on residential Audio Visual wireless network
(c)mmWPAN-WG
 i)Study on standardization of millimeter-wave wireless PAN (Personal Area Network)
 ii)Making a draft standard of millimeter- wave wireless PAN in Japan
(d)Wide Area Ubiquitous NW-WG
 i)Study on the Wide Area Ubiquitous Network system using many radio data terminals distributed over a wide area which perform data communications and information processing
 ii)Study on techniques for the Wide Area Ubiquitous Network
 iii)Study for establishment of ITU-R recommendation for the Wide Area Ubiquitous Network
