General Description

For new broadcasts of high definition television broadcasting, pay broadcasting, data broadcasting using BS, coexistence with conventional broadcasting is required.

The interconnection between a conventional BS tuner and a decoder of a new broadcasting system is recommended.

This technical report specifies the guideline of basic interconnection for a BS tuner receiving a new broadcasting in order to standardize a new broadcasting system and to spread the service.

This technical report is applied to receivers with separated BS tuners in a new broadcasting system using BS.

With the end of high-definition television broadcasting (excluding digital broadcasting), the standard transmission method for high-definition television broadcasting (excluding digital broadcasting) (Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Ordinance No. 16, 1991) was abolished (enforced on June 30, 2011) based on the Ministerial Ordinance (Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Ordinance No. 60, 2011) that abolished the standard transmission method for high-definition television broadcasting (excluding digital broadcasting).

In addition, with the end of analog television broadcasting, the standard transmission method for standard television broadcasting (excluding digital broadcasting) (Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Ordinance No. 88, 2011) was abolished (enforced on February 20, 2013) based on the Ministerial Ordinance (Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Ordinance No. 7, 2013) that partially amended the Broadcasting Law Enforcement Regulations, etc.

After sufficient transitional measures, this technical report was withdrawn.
