Overview of ARIB Standards (STD-B14)
|STD Number||ARIB STD-B14|
|Standard Name||Data Multiplex Broadcasting System for The Conventional Television Using The Sound Sub Carrier|
This standard is intended to be applied to the standard television data multiplex broadcasting, with transmission scheme and encoding scheme using the audio signal sub-carriers performed by the broadcasting station and the purpose of the constant a desired condition of the receiver.
This standard, receiving "Technical condition of the terrestrial data broadcasting in the transmission path using the subcarrier" out of the some report dated November 25.1996, "the technical condition of the terrestrial data broadcasting" in the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Technology Council (the current Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Information and Communications Technology Subcommittee), for determining the enforced technical standards on June 24.1997, "Ordinance to amend a part of the standard method of the transmission of relates to standard television data multiplex broadcasting and high-definition television data multiplex broadcast (Posts and Telecommunications Ordinance No. 46 1997)" and Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications notice about the Ordinance came into force on August 24.1998 "Determined Matter of the configuration of data signal and the range for scramble and the control of scramble (Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Notification No. 409 1998)"
In addition to a defined matter as skeleton, it is the contents of the combined operation on a standard defined for it is desirable agreed matters.
|Facsimile signal||Signal to operate the service to provide information by printing the paper in the printer with multiplexing and transmission the characters and graphics still images to the television airwaves|
|Telesoftware signal||Signal to operate the service to broadcast programs and data to the home of the personal computer|
|Battery save processing||Mode control for power saving assuming a mobile receiver battery powered, since transmission system using an audio signal subcarriers, it is suited for mobile reception service.|
|ASC system (Audio Subcarrier Channel)||To realize a data broadcasting using terrestrial television broadcasting systems, compatibility with existing broadcast, while achieving consistency, and in the light of the introduction of digital broadcasting, television data multiplex broadcasting system using a transmission scheme for superimposing a data signal to the audio subcarrier.|
|VBI system (Vertical Blanking Interval)||As with ASC system, to realize a data broadcasting using terrestrial television broadcasting systems, compatibility with existing broadcast, while achieving consistency, and in the light of the introduction of digital broadcasting, television data multiplex broadcasting system using a transmission scheme for superimposing a data signal in the vertical blanking time|
