Overview of ARIB Standards (STD-B21)

1. Overview

STD Number ARIB STD-B21
Standard Name Receiver for Digital Broadcasting (Desirable Specifications)
General Description

This standard specifies a desirable specification such as basic function, rating, and performance of a digital broadcast receiver using the following transmission systems:

・BS digital broadcasting using the frequency band from 11.7 GHz to 12.2 GHz.

・broadband CS digital broadcasting using the frequency band from 12.2 GHz to 12.75 GHz.

・Terrestrial digital broadcasting.

This standard defines a receiver for BS digital broadcasting, a receiver for common use of BS digital broadcasting and broadband CS digital broadcasting, and a receiver for terrestrial digital broadcasting using a fixed receiving antenna.

Small simple receivers, vehicle-mounted receivers, and portable receivers will either apply or reference this standard.
