This technical report defines multiplexing methods and operational guidelines to transmit inter-station control data, digital closed caption data, and user data between broadcasting stations by using auxiliary data packets on the 4K video bit serial interface used inside and outside of the studio of the broadcasting station.

In this revision, packet multiplexing conditions and multiple line positions are specified in order to enable the operation of various auxiliary data packets in the 4K bit serial interface used in advanced wideband digital satellite broadcasting. Also, the recommended multiplexing positions when operating to maintain the same multiplex structure as that of the 525/60 television system component and the 1125/60 system HDTV bit serial interface (ARIB TR-B 23) are described.
