General Description

This technical report specifies a measuring method to evaluate performances of a receiver to maintain good reception quality in CS digital broadcasting.

In the ARIB standard “Digital Receiver for Digital Satellite Broadcasting Services Using Communication Satellites” (ARIB STD-B1 version 1.0) specified in May 1996, design targets of desirable performances and measuring methods were to be considered. The measuring method was clarified based on the discussion of desirable performances and testing methods from October 1996.

This technical report is applied to CS digital broadcasting receivers involving decoders and descramblers of digital signals.
