Overview of ARIB Standards (STD-T117)
|STD Number||ARIB STD-T117|
|Standard Name||Low Power Data Communication System/60 GHz-Band Wireless LAN for Very High Throughput Data Communications|
This ARIB Standard specifies forth provisions concerning a radio equipment system which uses radio waves for the transmission mainly for data communications (including a system to connect to telecommunication circuit equipment) in the band 57 GHz to 66 GHz under the definition of the low-power radio stations designated in Item 4 of Article 6, Paragraph 4 of the Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Law and “60 GHz band wireless LAN system for very high throughput data communications system” based on the IEEE 802. 11ad standard as a multiple access system.
Introduction of products conforming to international standards such as IEEE 802.11ad / WiGig as a system capable of high-speed transfer of large-capacity contents in household appliances and mobile terminals is being advanced internationally. This is a technical standard (ARIB STD - T 117) established taking into account the regulation system improvement at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, while harmonizing with technical standards of Europe and the United States, etc.
