General Description

The Ordinance Regulating Radio Equipment was partly revised for digital MCA system employing π/4 shift QPSK as a modulation method, corresponding to the Report (12.04.2002) from the Radio Regulatory Council on “Introduction of 800MHz Band Digital MCA Land Mobile Communication System”, and promulgated and enforced on 12.20.2002.

The standard ARIB STD T-85 specifies air interface of communication system providing 800MHz band digital MCA land mobile communication services defined in the Article 49-7-3 of the above Ordinance.

The 800MHz band digital MCA system based on this standard newly introduces location registration function for user’s radio station, tracking & connection function, handover, etc., and is adapted to the system comprising multiple zones.
