General Description

This standard specifies with using a bit serial interface primarily to connect the broadcast program production equipment, a method of transmitting data compressed video / audio packetized.

This standard in 10-bit serial interface 4:2:2 component signal conforming to SMPTE ST 259, is applied to a device for transmitting data in a packet format using mainly period corresponding to the active line.

With data format of the applications that conform to this standard, detail the provisions of the compression / error correction, etc., separately, is defined by ARIB standards, but not included in this standard.
